The
company has been established for 9 years in Canada and the
UK. In 1998 Colin Harding visited his sister, Alison in Canada
and saw how she had incorporated pieces of driftwood, as sculptures
into her traditional English garden, which she had collected
from the shore of a nearby lake. Colin, a keen gardener, was
so taken with the effect of the driftwood that he decided
to bring some back to the UK, a whole 20ft container load! |
| Within
the space of a couple of months every last piece of driftwood
had been sold. Colin and his son Magnus knew the sculptures
would be popular but they had not realised that they would
be such a hit. There was such a demand for the unusual and
striking sculptures that they soon made arrangements for another
container load and so Natural Driftwood Sculptures Ltd was
born. |
| Today
the company remains very much a family run organisation. The
collection operation is still run by Magnus' Aunt Alison and
her family over in British Colombia, Canada while Magnus and
his wife Tracey Harding manage the UK-based Sales and Distribution
arm. |
| The
area from which our sculptures are collected is a rich mix of
forest, tranquil lake waters and majestic mountainsides, typical
of idyllic Canada. We have gathered together a few pictures
in our gallery
section to give you an idea of this ... |
